SUPPORTS OPEN DISCUSSION OF CANNABIS POLICY

Citizens for Responsible Access has been working on comprehensive model regulations in the City of Santa Rosa and the County of Sonoma. CRA is working to organize a debate on cannabis policy, featuring candidates for District 5 Supervisor of Sonoma County.

2015

TAKES ACTION TO PROMOTE SMARTer CANNABIS POLICY

Citizens for Responsible Access worked to support state regulations that resulted in comprehensive policy through the Medical Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act (MCRSA).

2014

Advocates for review of existing cannabis policy

In January, the Santa Rosa City Council reviewed and amended its Medicinal Marijuana Dispensary ordinance, removing overly restrictive rules of dispensary operation. They lifted the patient cap, extended operating hours, and allowed dispensaries to provide educational materials to patients.

2013

encourages public input in cannabis-policy development

In June, after hearing from Citizens for Responsible Access, Healdsburg City Council agreed on the need for more community input before adopting a cultivation ordinance. The Council convened a committee, including community members and patients, to review the proposed ordinance later that year.

2012

strives to Protect cannabis Patients’ rights

In December, Sonoma County reconvened the Ad Hoc Committee on Medical Marijuana to engage the community and stakeholders to address issues pertaining to medical-cannabis cultivation.
